He came through in 2:22 with a large contingent coming through in 2:25-2:26. On lap 7, Shaffer moved to the front, crossing in 8:49, just ahead of Mundey, Freeman, and Yarrington. On the final lap, Mundey proved to have the superior kick as he clsoe in about 64 seconds. Berkeley Springs took the lead on the 2nd leg and held it the rest of the way. A 2:00 anchor leg from John Mundey was able to seal the deal. Philip Barbour got a 1:59 anchor leg from Riley Freeman, but it wasn't enough to catch Berkeley Springs. The lead two made it in under 8:20. Ritchie held off Scott for 3rd as they were the only remaining teams to go under 8:30.
RunWV's Current Score: 64 of 72.

Ritchie's Cody Masters was the only vaulter in the field to go higher than 11'6, and he went 13'7. The was good enough to give him the 10th Best Class A-AA State Meet Performance. Only 6 vaulters cleared 10'0.
RunWV's Current Score: 80 of 90.

Long Jump
Liberty Harrison's Brandon Franklin pulled out a big jump on his last attempt to win by over a foot. Only two other jumpers passed 20'.

Discus
Ritchie's Mark Britton blew away the field with his 171'6 toss. That was over 23' further than 2nd place finisher Matthew Riggs of Magnolia. Riggs and Oak Glen's Nicco Mills each surpassed 148'0. No one else topped 135'. Britton's throw stands as the 7th Best All-Time State Meet Performance and the 2nd Best Class A-AA State Meet Performance.
RunWV's Current Score: 95 of 108.

The final score of 95 of 108 means that 88.0% of the people picked to place did indeed place. That may be my highest score ever. Congratulations to those that proved me wrong.
